Stephan had a soccer game today. Another great win for Team Palermo! He played for both teams because the opponents were short a player in the first half. It was rainy, cold & wet! Norah probably fell more times than when she first learned to walk. Soaked child #1. And Stephan looked like this after the game. Soaked child #2. Actually, he was covered in even more mud. This was taken after we wiped some of it off his arms and legs before he got into the car. He played hard & had a blast in the conditions. (Unfortunately, it was less fun for the people on the sidelines!) He has shown such great sportsmanship this season & his coach commented this week and last that he sees an improvement in Stephan's game just since last fall.

Doesn't he look grown up? (sigh)
In one month, he will graduate from elementary school. (double sigh)
We had a fun Friday night. The kids got to spend time with Grandma while Casey & I had time to ourselves at the ABCD Date with a Plate event with Pops & Liza and friends. ABCD stands for After Breast Cancer Diagnosis & was created to help mentor and provide support services for people diagnosed with breast cancer. Erika was very involved with ABCD and served as a mentor for other women even when she was going through treatment herself. There were delicious small plates prepared by restaurants from all over the city. We had a great time & left with very full bellies.
